The class is highly focused on improving literacy, numeracy, and life skills needed to not only cope in an ever changing world but thrive in it.20022007_44339_0.jpg


The students work hard at improving their levels of social responsibility through empathy training and coping skill set development.

The class does homework daily as they are earning rewards that will see them earn a mountain bike they will assemble and learn about simple machines. The students work hard, play hard, and laugh hard.



There are: one Gr. 7 student, four Gr. 6 students, six Gr. 5 students, and six Gr. 4 students. The students have various strengths and have many different learning styles. The students learn to think outside the box and come to understand that learning is a life long process.




Some of our Learning Activities!

Cross Country Running
The class begins each school year with running through trails and fields as they build cardiovascular endurance and strength. We went to races in Fraser Lake and Vanderhoof.

Volleyball
We had two teams in a volleyball tournament in Ft. Saint Jame s. Our A team won all four games and our B team improved dramatically in all 4 games.


Cross Country Skiing
Our class has learned how to hot wax the glide wax onto the skis as well as how to apply and cork the grip wax. The students ski every day with temperatures down to –20 C.  This has built strength, skill and stamina.

This is an outdoor science education program run in each season to focus on learning traditional skills and language as they apply to science.

Ookw’uts’uhuna Wuts’oduleh (Survival Education)
This involves traditional bush skills, like snowshoeing, shelter building, snaring,hunting, fishing, etc.
