Grade 1/2/3 Class  Current Projects Mrs. Prinsen's class is learning about celebrations from other countries. Recently, they had a Chinese New Year party! They learned by: *Drawing and saying the Chinese character 'Fu', which means 'Good Luck' *Trying some Chinese foods like rice, noodles, sweet & sour meatballs, fortune cookies,  dried fruits *Appreciating and dancing to Chinese music *Colouring in a 12-cycle Chinese calendar and researching their lucky animal *Decorating the classroom with paper-cut Cherry Blossom branches *Comparing 2 miniature sculptures of Buddha *Learning about the origins of Kung Fu    Related Links     Educational Links
